VA-Accredited Appeals Attorney

Denied Benefits by the VA?

Let Us Win What You Earned.

We Don’t Get Paid Unless You Do!

If you are a Veteran of the U.S. Military and the Department of Veterans Affairs denied your claim for disability benefits, we can help whether you received the denial within the last year or many years ago. So long as you have a valid claim that was denied, we can help you obtain your benefits.

Not a veteran, but someone else – an agent or representative, a friend or a family member – who filed for benefits for a veteran but the VA denied the claim? Let us take the case to the next level and earn a win for the veteran!

Appeals & Supplemental Claims

A denial is not the end of the road. We challenge the VA’s decision through Higher-Level Reviews, Supplemental Claims, and appeals all the way to the Board of Veterans’ Appeals.

Higher Level Reviews and Informal Conferences

Submitted all the evidence required to prove your claim, but the VA still denied you benefits? We will schedule an Informal Conference with the VA to discuss your case and make sure you get the disability benefits you deserve.

Why Veterans Choose Us

Accredited

Attorney Kimm Massey is a VA-Accredited Attorney and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims. That means your appeal can be pursued at every level — VA Regional Offices, the Board of Veterans’ Appeals, and the Court itself.

Experienced

A Harvard Law School graduate with more than three decades of practice, including service as a federal Appeals Officer. This is not a volume mill — a legal professional who knows how the VA thinks is assigned to every single case.

Nationwide & Abroad

If you served in the U.S. Military, you’re eligible — no matter where you live. We represent veterans in all 50 states, as well as veterans who are living abroad in other countries.

Denied Claims

Appeals & Supplemental Claims

Just got a denial you disagree with? You generally have one year from the date on your decision letter to challenge the denial and preserve the initial filing date of your claim for purposes of back pay. So the sooner we start, the better. Time is of the essence.

VA Errors

Higher Level Reviews and Informal Conferences

If the VA overlooked evidence already in your file or misapplied the law, a Higher-Level Review puts your case in front of a senior reviewer. We highlight the relevant evidence, cite to appropriate federal regulations, and make the legal arguments that will result in a win for you. When appropriate, we also schedule an Informal Conference to speak directly with the decision review officer.

A Second Chance

Reopening a Denied Claim

Were you denied years ago, or did you walk away once the deadline passed? It may not be too late. If you have new and relevant evidence the VA never considered, a Supplemental Claim can reopen your case, and there’s no one-year clock on it. We’ll help you gather what’s needed and make the arguments the VA should have heard the first time.

Our Fee Structure

You Don't Pay Unless We Win

There’s no legal fee to get started and you don’t pay us anything out of pocket while your case moves forward. We only get paid if we win you back pay — the retroactive benefits the VA owed you from the start. If we don’t win, you don’t pay.

There is no up front legal fee. You only pay if we win you money — your back pay. If we don’t win, you owe no attorney’s fee.

When the VA grants benefits, it often owes you compensation dating back to when you first should have been paid. That retroactive amount is your back pay.
